Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a form of healing.  It is 100% positive energy.  It is transferred from the therapist (myself, who has been attuned to the universal energy of Reiki) to the client.  As Reiki is 100% positive energy no harm can ever come from a Reiki treatment.

What should I know?

When getting a Reiki treatment you remain fully clothed.  Comfortable clothing is recommended.  You lay on your back (or whatever position is most comfortable) during treatment.  You are encouraged to close your eyes, relax, calm your mind and let the Reiki treatment occur.

What is going to happen?

Every treatment is unique and each experience will vary.  You lay still for the duration of the treatment.  Reiki is delivered through the hands with direct touch and indirectly with hands held above the area of the body being treated.  When hands are laid the most sensitive areas of the body they would be on are your eyes, neck or abdomen.  If any of this sounds uncomfortable, please talk to me in advance.

Other information

I encourage you to clear your mind, take deep relaxed breaths and allow the treatment to occur.  Open your eyes if you feel the need, but the best experiences are achieved with eyes closed, a relaxed mind and an openness to allowing the Reiki energy.

Reiki, more in-depth

Reiki heals an individual at the 4 cores of their being: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual.  Reiki, when allowed can heal any aspect of a person.  Remember, Rome wasn’t built in a day, healing and personal growth takes time.  Allow yourself the chance to move forward mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, don’t give your body deadlines to heal, be open minded and let change take shape.  Just like with other healing modalities expect several sessions to start to see a progression in one’s self.

Personal Note

One of the main things I notice as a Reiki practitioner, clients who aren’t seeing the whole picture.  People are often focused so intently on one “problem area” they are dealing with they create blinders for themselves and don’t realize the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical connections and how they affect one another.  Please be aware that any core area could affect any of the other core areas.  The key to this is fixing the cause which will inevitably resolve the symptoms.

I encourage you to ask questions, the only silly ones are the ones that are not asked.
